Kruger Paints The Blues |
A suite of eight blues master portraits on paper by Sebastian Kruger |
| Dear Kruger fans, |
| Finally the time has arrived that Kruger followers have been eagerly awaiting. Sebastian Kruger's blues legends suite "Kind Of Blues" is now available for collecting. |
| Ever since the first painting appeared to the public from this opus in the making, Kruger fans clamoured for limited editions to be made available. And with every new work added to the growing series of blues gods, the demand got hotter and hotter. |
| Of all the many subjects Kruger's brush has taken on, he is best known for his works of rock 'n' roll. In them he has described in emotional detail the very elements (both large and small) that construct the art form. And it's this life work that makes "Kind Of Blues" such a natural progression, because the true forefathers of rock were indubitably these very titans of blues that paved the way right up to Fats' Rockin 88. |
| This epic work represents a dedicated full year of Sebastian Kruger's painting career. Not to be mistaken as a collection of eight portraits, but a collective statement paying homage to an era of musical artists, who collectively created one of the most inspired art-forms. Which influences have stretched far and wide. |
| But within the collective body of work, Kruger has amazingly given us one individual portrait after another that seems to breath the very essence and soul of each of these great hero's of blues; BB King, John Lee Hooker, Bo Diddley, Howlin' Wolf, Little Walter, Muddy Watters, Albert Collins and Robert Johnson all captured perfectly. |
| To serious collectors it should be noted this is a much smaller limited edition then most of Kruger's previous releases. With an edition of only 99 works on paper total (many sold already) and at a very low price for eight individual works, we expect this to be available for only a very short time. |
