We wanted to contact you personally to share the news that has filled us with pride and excitement. After a quarter century of showing his works in some of the most noted galleries around the world, Ronnie Wood will have his first major American art museum exhibition.
This landmark show will be hosted by The Butler Institute Of American Art, in Ohio and will Run from September 21 to November 21. The Butler is known as the oldest museum of American art in the US, where national treasures ranging from Sargent to Pollock are housed. And now along with these masters Ronnie Wood's paintings and drawings capturing his personal landscape from his horses at home to his mates in the Rolling Stones will share the very same walls.
A moment like this is both momentous and unparalleled in an artists life. Over the years Ronnie's art has earned almost countless achievements, making him one of the most collected artists alive. But no matter how many museum shows and artistic milestones that come after, it is this event that forever marks an arrival into the very exclusive club of artists who have experienced a career retrospective in a major art Museum.
Ronnie will be in attendance at the opening night of the exhibit Tuesday September 21st. And we would like to be the first to invite you to be a part of it.
An Essay From The Museum Director
Talent is a most mysterious gift. It is distributed unequally, for sure. And rarely do we find artists whose talents are multi-tiered. Ronnie Wood has been so blessed. His musical accomplishments have been more than celebrated; and, his talents as a visual artist deserve an equally distinguished level of recognition.
